Something that has been top of my moaning hitlist over the last 2 years has been the topic of sprawl. Sprawl is something that has hit many organisations, mainly from behind and without warning, and often causing a bit of a not inconsiderable pain in the backside.
It is also something that has been largely denied, but it is nice to see that it is finally being acknowledged and addressed. It is a position we noticed about 2 years ago in our early days of adoption, and it is a reason we built a whole suite of governance tooling. Duplication and sprawl causes confusion and frustration in an application that is designed to make life easier.
